Cages

At its core, a cage in the kink world is a tool for confinement. Made from a variety of materials, including metal and wood, these structures are designed to safely and comfortably hold a person, albeit temporarily.

The Symbolism of the Cage

Cages can symbolize various themes:

  • Control & Power: The Dominant decides when the submissive can exit, establishing a clear power dynamic.

  • Vulnerability: Being confined can amplify feelings of exposure and vulnerability.

  • Safety: Paradoxically, some submissives find solace in the confined space, feeling protected and cared for.

Safety First!

Like all kink practices, using cages requires mutual consent, trust, and open communication. Ensure the submissive is comfortable, that the cage doesn't cause harm or discomfort, and always have an agreed-upon safe word or signal.

Cages, like many elements of BDSM, challenge our perceptions of comfort, power, and intimacy. When used consensually and safely, they can add a thrilling dimension to kink exploration.

Remember, always prioritise safety, consent, and open communication in all kink activities.
