Auralism

Auralism is an arousal brought on by sounds. This could encompass a range of sounds such as voices, whispers, moans, heavy breathing, or even the sounds of certain actions or environments.

Auralists are often stimulated by sounds that are typically associated with erotic or intimate activities, but they can also be aroused by non-sexual sounds, provided they create a sensuous auditory experience for the individual.

Some auralists may simply enjoy a heightened appreciation of sensual sounds during sex, while for others, auralism might be essential for their sexual gratification.

Some examples of auralism include:

  1. Voice: Some people might be turned on by the sound of their partner's voice, or even just certain phrases or words spoken in a particular tone. This is often seen in practices such as erotic audio and phone sex.

  2. Moaning/Breathing: The sounds of moaning or heavy breathing, which are common in intimate situations, might arouse an auralist. They may prefer their partners to be vocal during sex, or might listen to audio porn that focuses on these sounds.

  3. Music or Ambient Sounds: An auralist might find certain music or ambient sounds, like rain or a crackling fireplace, sexually stimulating. It's not uncommon to find audio files specifically designed to provide an erotic aural experience online or in certain kink communities.
