Anonymous sex

Anonymous sex refers to a consensual sexual encounter between individuals who intentionally conceal or do not disclose their identities to one another.

Anonymous sex can be facilitated through a range of mediums and platforms - dating apps, chat room, beats, toilets and sex parties.

Freedom, excitement, novelty and being able to engage with people without a sense of emotional expectation are some of the reasons people may engage in anonymous sex.

But there can also be an element of shame for others. For example, some may engage in anonymous sex so they can indulge in kinks and fantasies that they don’t feel comfortable openly discussing with the people in their lives.

As with all activity, we encourage open communication, the establishment and respect of boundaries, and obtaining clear and ongoing consent.

Practicing safe sex measures like using condoms, dental dams, gloves and engaging in regular STI testing is important for all of us.
